Description
Calibra hybrid-bond “ceramic” tooling is an excellent transition tool between metals and resins. Designed for hard concrete only, this special tool is highly skilled at removing scratches and may even allow operators to skip some initial resin steps. Calibra are Velcro backed, and should not be used on soft concrete.
Grit 30= Extra Coarse
Grit 50= Coarse
Grit 100= Medium
Grit 200= Fine
The Calibra pads were originally designed for cutting a bad polish job off and leaving the floor without ugly scratches that ruined the original polishing project. They come in 4 grit sizes. 30, 50, 100 and 200. Most begin with 50 grit Calibra. Remember that Calibra pads were also designed to follow the contours of your concrete surface so they will not level a floor. They are designed to give an even and consistant first cut and now we also use then as the transistion between Metal Bond and Resin. Although Calibras work well dry we do recommend using Calibra pads wet whenever possible to extend the life and to maximize their productivity on extremely hard to medium hard concrete. WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY OF THE CALIBRA PADS ON SOFT CONCRETE AS THEY WILL HAVE EXTREMELY SHORT LIFE.
