We really like the cutting and polishing action of these turbos. These are the turbos we supply with the seam phantom (60, 150 and 300 grit) to produce almost invisible seams. These can be used for any job that requires ultimate control over the amount of material removed and the flatness. Available in 7 grits from 60 to 3000.Phantom SL3® Pad Dressing InstructionsIn order to get the best results, your new SL3® turbo pads need to be properly dressed before use.Dressing instructions for top polishing pads:1.Put the SL3® abrasive on the SL3® adapter and polisher that will be used for top polishing. Always make sure to use this same adapter and polisheronce the pads have been dressed.If the polisher or adapter is changed, then the pads should be dressed again.2.With the polisherset between 2000-4000 rpm, run the abrasive wet on the back of a piece of granite, concrete block, or concrete floor. Using moderate downward pressure, continue running the abrasive until it runs smoothly on the stone or concrete.3.While the polisher is running, roll the abrasive up to slightly round over the sharp outer edges of the pad. This step will need to be repeated as the pad wears down. Failure to round these edges will create half moon scratches in the finished piece.4. After dressing, check each pad for smoothness on the polished face of some scrap granite. If the pad does not run smoothly, repeat steps 2 – 4.Dressing instructions for Seam Phantom® pads:Dressing the pads for Seam Phantom® use is less important since the pads will be dressed during normal use. However, it is still a good idea to run the pads on some concrete or granite backside to open up the diamonds before use.
