Description
This is the heavier and faster big brother of the 5280. This hydraulically-driven forward and reverse self-propelled scraper removes the worst of today’s soft goods such as glued down floors, gummy commercial carpet, VCT, solid vinyl, radial rubber tile, sheet rubber, indoor and outdoor sport surfaces, roofing material and more. The features of this machine reduce operator fatigue while optimizing time and labor savings to complete jobs swiftly and economically. The compact design makes it ideal for use in confined spaces while the side slide weights add extra down pressure and inertia.

The 6280-Commander is specifically designed for the fast and efficient removal of soft goods: carpet, glues, mastic, VCT, VAT and most industry adhesives. Its patented hydraulic drive operates in both forward and reverse positions providing industry leading operator comfort, ease of use and increased production. Adding to its overall functionality is the ability to quickly adjust head torque by utilizing the easy access variable speed control.
The reengineered front weight not only provides the ability to increase down pressure, but doubles as debris deflector. This feature protects the unit for potential damage by preventing loose material from penetrating the hose cavity.
The easy glide adjustable side weights provide the flexibility to increase or decrease down pressure. No two jobs are alike so why not own a scraper that changes with each removal application.
The 6280 Commander incorporates a six position adjustable handle that enables the operator to work under counters, in utility rooms and other confined areas. The adjustable handle can be collapsed toward the front of the scraper to save space when transporting from one job site to the next.
The industrial grade traction wheels are self-cleaning and disengage for loading and unloading.
The enhanced design of the handle controls boast precision and comfort during operation. Simply push forward on the handle to propel the scraper ahead and pull back on the handle to move in reverse with speed and safety.
The industrial motor is equipped with a thermal overload protection circuit breaker.
Operating at decimal ratings under industry and safety standards, the 6280-COM is free to operate in occupied spaces typically restricted to evenings and weekends (schools, hospital, nursing homes and office buildings).
